Adaptations

There are many animals and plants that live in the desert. How can they live there when it is so hot? We would like to know about an animal or plant that you have learned about, and its adaptations.

After a few days of studying the desert, have you learned what a desert is made up of? Does San Antonio have some of the same plants or animals? I hear there are some things that are living, and some things that are nonliving. Is this true? What makes something living? Do the living and nonliving things work together? How? Don’t forget to tell us where you are blogging from. Happy Blogging!

You are learning about Nocturnal and Diurnal animals as you study the desert. What are you? Can you list some desert animals that are nocturnal and some that are diurnal? Can you name some other animals that don’t live in the desert that are nocturnal or diurnal?

Hello First Grade!

You are about to enter a new place called the Desert. Are you ready to learn about all the amazing plants and animals that live there? I wonder if San Antonio is anything like the desert. Does it have some of the same plants or animals. What is the weather like? Would you want to live there? Please discuss and comment on what you already know about the desert. Your teacher can let you add your own comments or she can add your ideas as a class comment. Teachers, please type your school and last name when adding your comments. If you allow your student to comment, please supervise them. They may only add your name, and their initials.

Thank you for cooperating, and happy blogging!
